Hi, Filip here.
I'm an Adventure Photographer and Startup Founder based in Berlin, Germany.
Photography & Filmmaking.
In 2011, I bought my first camera, right before I stepped on a plane to go backpacking through Australia.
Ever since then, I was enthusiastic about exploring new places off the beaten track–all while documenting these new experiences through still and moving images.
Digital Strategy.
On the other hand, computers always excited me. Together with a friend, I started to code and build our first website in 2004.
A couple of years later, I became intrigued by digital marketing and making websites rank better on Google (search engine optimization, SEO).
All of this led me to founding my own direct-to-consumer brand, STUR. We make premium, long-lasting kitchen tools that we develop together with our wonderful community. We focus on sustainability and great design. Our production is right here in Germany and we work every day to grow our startup into a brand our customers love.
Recent accomplishments I’m proud of:
Running Germany’s third most funded Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign (raising more than US$1.4m)
Being honored on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list
Winning several design awards with STUR (Red Dot Design Award, iF Design Award, German Design Award)
Presenting STUR in Germany’s most popular startup TV show Die Höhle der Löwen (similar to Shark Tank / Dragons’ Den)
